12 Points! the critically acclaimed festival and showcase for emerging European jazz talent

Bray Jazz Festival 2011

Acoustik provide full production services for another successful year at the bray jazz festival.Headlining this year are two bright young stars of Brazilian jazz - Hamilton de Holanda and Andre Mehmari, American jazz great Kurt Rosenwinkel, and the BBC jazz singer of the year Christine Tobin, all of whom appear at Mermaid Arts Centre as part of double-bill programmes over the festival's three days.

Temple bar Trad Fest  Christchurch Dublin 26th - 30th January 2011

Acoustik provided the sound system and operated by Acoustik's own Paul Ashe-Browne for Irish Music legends Clannad, who will be celebrating their 40 year anniversary. This performance is set to be unique and indeed rare, as TradFest 2011 will play host to their first performance in Dublin in almost half a decade. Besides this, Moya, Ciaran, Noel & Padraig are delighted to welcome Pol back into the band. Although he has made a couple of live appearances with them since his departure in 1989, this will be the first time in over twenty years that the classic line up will present a full concert. 

  

  

Aslo appearing in Christchurch for the opening night  where Altan. Over 25 years of playing together, Altan have established themselves as one of the most important live acts to play traditional Irish music on the world stage. The Boston Globe has described them as “The hottest group in the Celtic realm!”

Life Festival  is back for 2010 with bigger plans than ever. This year's festival will be held 4th - 6th June 2010 at Belvedere House ( Mullingar). 
This will be the year that Life truly establishes itself as an internationally-known festival playing host to some of the most up-and-coming acts in the scene. 

Irish Aid's Africa Day Dublin took place in the Iveagh Gardens 

This flagship event was a fun, family-friendly day out, featuring interactive cultural and educational activities for both children and adults that celebrate and showcase the diversity of African cultures and societies.  Almost 12,000 people attended Irish Aid's Africa Day Dublin over the course of the day.  

Bray Jazz Festival returns for its 11th year on the upcoming May Bank Holiday weekend.

Described by All About Jazz last year as 'one of the very best small jazz festivals in Europe', we're delighted with the endorsement, and are working hard to live up to the billing.

20.07.2009/ Bray Summer Fest 2009

Ireland's largest free beach party festival will take place over six weeks this summer during July and August. Bray Summerfest opened on Wednesday 15th July with Connemara, Sixteen Layers and Rattle and Hum. Thursday night headlined with the Peakin' Trippers. Bob Marley band member Natty Wailer played on the Friday night. as headline act.The Saturday line up included The Glen Baker band, Colm Lynch, Bray Gospel Choir and Ghost In The Machine.Sunday night included Key West, Franklin and The Classic Beatles and the night closed once again with the summertime's most explosive fireworks extravaganza. 

20.03.09 WBA

Acoustik provided sound for the WBA Super Bantamweight Boxing match at Dublin’s new O2 Arena. The holder at the time, Ricardo Cordoba of Panama, was facing the challenge of Dublin’s own Bernard Dunne. The first World Championship boxing match to be held in Dublin for 13 years.

      

The system was a D&B Q1 line array, with 8 Q1 and 3 Q sub for each hang. D&B Max 12’s and Q7/Q10 as infills and outfills. D&b’s proprietary D12 amplifiers powered the system. The sound had to deal with a wide dynamic range of sources including VT playback, pre-recorded tracks, speakers and announcers.
